AI-Cu bi-metal terminal are used for connecting aluminium cable to copper busbars.

Technical Specification for Aluminium - Copper BI-Metal Terminals :	:	C33-090 part 1 (ex E.D.F. specification HN 68-S-90)
Application	:	On polymeric oil impregnated paper insulated cable with stranded Aluminium conductor cores L.V. and M.V. network upto 36 kv.
Construction	:	Forged circular copper palm is friction welded to an EC grade Aluminum circular copper barrel thus achieving the best possible transition.
Installation by compression	:	(a) By hexagonal compression (b) Shaped (sector) cores must be rounded prior insertion in the barrel.
